One way to insert text is to click on the button. Another way is to draw a line or a shape that you want your text to be
on and open the Object properties menu by clicking on what you drew with the right
mouse button. Under Type of object click Text and you'll have options to
change the font and size of the text (Times New Roman is the name of the font this help
file is in, 12 pt. is the size of the text), alignment and also set the shadow. Click on
the bookmark Effects to set the distance from the text, angle and color of
the shadow.
You can also change where the text appears on the shape you drew depending on the shape.
If you drew a line or a curve, the text will start at the beginning of the line and go to the end. If you drew a curvy line and it crosses itself (like a figure 8), the text won't work on it.
If you drew a circle or an oval, you can start the text from the top of the circle, the right side, the left side, or the bottom.
If you drew a square or a rectangle with rounded corners, the text will always start at the top.
If you drew a regular rectangle or square, the text can go around the outside (along
the contour), or it can be inside and lined up to the left side or to the right side or
centered. If you move the rectangle, the text will go with it.
